Selected for NATO DIANA 2026
Defence Innovation Accelerator
for the North Atlantic
NATO Innovation
Engagement
MILHA is the defence-focused evolution of Hydro Road technology, which was selected for the
NATO DIANA 2026 Challenge Programme.
DIANA (the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) is NATO’s innovation programme dedicated to advancing high-impact dual-use technologies across the Alliance. The initiative connects selected companies with specialist test centres, operational stakeholders and defence networks to accelerate solutions addressing resilience, mobility and operations in contested environments.
Hydro Road’s selection reflects the operational relevance of its ground stabilisation platform in austere and expeditionary settings. MILHA builds on this recognised foundation adapting a proven civil capability for military mobility, rapid infrastructure deployment and combat engineering integration
Defence & Authority Engagement
MILHA is actively engaging with defence organisations and national authorities across multiple jurisdictions.
We are currently in discussions with defence ministries, engineering units and independent evaluation centres to explore structured testing, field trials and capability integration pathways.
Engagement spans technical assessors, infrastructure specialists and senior operational leadership to ensure alignment with doctrine, logistics and deployment realities.
These engagements are focused on responsible validation, interoperability and scalable deployment within resilience and mobility programmes.
Built on Proven Technology
MILHA is derived from Hydro Road’s field deployed ground stabilisation system, adapted for military application.
The platform combines:
- Rapid deployability
- Minimal equipment dependency
- Scalable logistics footprint
- Civil-to-defence dual-use compatibility
This foundation enables accelerated defence integration without reliance on experimental materials or unproven processes.
Open to Strategic Collaboration
MILHA is actively engaging with:
- Combat and field engineering units
- Expeditionary infrastructure teams
- Defence innovation hubs
- Resilience and mobility programmes
We welcome pilot deployments, structured trials and strategic programme partnerships.
Validation & Evaluation Pathways
MILHA is progressing through structured engagement with defence stakeholders to support independent assessment and operational evaluation for the military customer.
Current activity includes dialogue with national authorities, technical assessors and test centres to define performance benchmarks, deployment parameters and integration frameworks aligned with military standards and operational doctrine.
This phased approach ensures that capability development remains evidence-led, interoperable and adaptable to varied operational theatres.
Operational Relevance
MILHA is designed specifically for expeditionary and resilience-driven environments where speed, durability and logistical efficiency are critical.
The system addresses persistent mobility and infrastructure challenges faced by combat engineering and field support units enabling rapid ground stabilisation using locally available materials, with minimal specialist equipment and reduced supply chain burden.
The platform architecture supports scalable deployment across temporary access routes, forward operating locations and contingency infrastructure requirements.
